With reference to the letter from this

Office of the 23rd of June, regarding the

conviction at Singapore of the Easter of the

3.5. "Amazon laru" in connection with the seizure

of a consignment of drugs on that vessel, I am

directed to inform you that the Governor of the

Straits Settlements has reported that the fine

inflicted in th case has been remitted and paid to

the Laster's legal representatives, who have under-

taken to deliver it to their client.
